Review by hotel critic
Nestled on the enchanting Salt Spring Island, the Harbour House Hotel offers an idyllic sanctuary for a romantic escape, perfectly complemented by the breathtaking views of Ganges Harbour. My recent stay, accompanied by my beloved for a well-deserved getaway, left us both charmed by the seamless blend of nature and hospitality. The newly renovated interiors welcomed us with a fresh and modern aesthetic, while our room's private patio provided the perfect setting to enjoy our morning coffee with stunning vistas over the Salish Sea. The spaciousness of our accommodation, featuring a luxurious king-size bed, ensured we had ample room to unwind before venturing out to explore the island. Dining at Woodley's was a highlight of our stay; the chef’s commitment to sourcing local ingredients resulted in a handcrafted dining experience that truly celebrated the region's artisanal offerings. We savored every bite, paired perfectly with local craft beers and wines, which complemented our culinary journey. The option to enjoy meals al fresco on the heated patio enhanced the experience, allowing the picturesque surroundings to elevate our dining moments. From the captivating ambiance to the tasty regional fare, this hotel stands as a testament to the charm of Salt Spring Island, ensuring that our romantic escape was not just memorable, but filled with flavors that will linger long after we’ve returned home.
